About the job

At Lindquist Machine Corporation, our Controls Engineers don't just write PLC code. They own automation projects from first sketch to final commissioning, working directly with the customers who'll rely on what they build. If you like seeing your work go from a control panel layout to a running machine on the floor, this is that kind of role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, Omron) and build HMI/SCADA applications people can actually use

• Design control panels, wiring diagrams, and the electrical documentation that keeps a project on track

• Get hands-on with servo systems, VFDs, vision systems, and machine safety circuits

• Run FAT/SAT testing and commission systems, sometimes in our facility, sometimes at a customer's

• Lead multiple projects at once, from proposal through startup, with real ownership over how they turn out

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or similar

• Hands-on experience designing and programming industrial control systems

• Comfort reading and creating electrical schematics and technical documentation

• The kind of troubleshooting instincts that come from being in the field

NICE-TO-HAVES

• Experience with robotics or machine vision systems

• Familiarity with Ethernet/IP, Profinet, or EtherCAT

• Knowledge of NFPA 70/70E and OSHA standards

WHAT YOU GET

• Competitive salary commensurate with your experience

• Performance-based bonus opportunities and profit sharing

• Comprehensive benefits and retirement plan with match

• Stellar paid time off

• Flexible work schedule

Some travel required for commissioning and customer support. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
