Delivery Manager - Hardware-Software Development Programs

The Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of projects, products, and technology solutions, ensuring successful execution within scope, schedule, and quality expectations. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams, engineering, product management, program management, and executive stakeholders to drive planning, execution, risk management, and delivery excellence.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in delivery management, project management, strategic planning, scheduling, scope management, and dependency tracking. Experience managing hardware release cycles and coordinating complex hardware-software development programs is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of projects, products, and technology initiatives from planning through execution and release.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Drive effective project planning using backward planning techniques by starting from target delivery dates and identifying critical milestones, dependencies, and execution paths.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in partnership with stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain detailed schedules, release plans, project roadmaps, and execution timelines.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, hardware, software, quality, operations, product management, and external partners.
• Identify, track, and manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Drive accountability across teams to ensure commitments are met and delivery objectives are achieved.
• Facilitate planning, status reviews, steering meetings, and executive updates.
• Manage competing priorities and negotiate trade-offs to optimize delivery outcomes.
• Ensure alignment between business goals, technical requirements, and delivery commitments.
• Support release readiness activities including validation, deployment planning, and stakeholder communications.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery processes, planning methodologies, and execution efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Delivery Management, Program Management, or Project Management roles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing hardware deployment and release cycles.

• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
