Senior Systems / Infrastructure Engineer
Hybrid - Day-to-day work is primarily remote; required periodic on-site support at our Suwanee, GA data center, including after-hours emergency support as needed. Must be able to report to the Suwanee data center promptly when on-site support is required.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems / Infrastructure Administrator to join our IT team. This role owns and supports a hybrid infrastructure environment spanning on-premises Windows Server, networking (including F5 and firewalls), and Microsoft Azure IaaS. The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter who thrives on solving complex technical problems, produces clear documentation, and can support data center operations as needed. Candidates living in or near the Duluth / Suwanee area are strongly preferred. Day to day operations are almost entirely remote. Candidate must be willing to participate in after-hours emergency support as needed and therefore must be responsive to internal status communication (email, outage information, etc).
Key Responsibilities
- Administrate and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and Hyper-V.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot F5 load balancing solutions, including iRules, certificate lifecycle management, and related configurations.
- Manage firewall rules, policies, and troubleshooting across the environment.
- Administer routers and networking infrastructure, including BGP, NAT, and connectivity to Azure ExpressRoute.
- Support and expand Microsoft Azure IaaS workloads with a focus on virtual network infrastructure, hybrid connectivity, and related services.
- Automate operational tasks and reporting using Windows PowerShell.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation; communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support Power BI reporting and related data visualization needs.
- Monitor system health, generate metrics/reports, and drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in on-site data center activities as required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Windows Server administration experience.
- Strong proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and Hyper-V.
- Solid PowerShell scripting experience.
- Experience supporting F5 platforms (iRules, certificates, troubleshooting).
- Firewall administration experience (rules, policies, troubleshooting).
- Router/networking experience including BGP, NAT, and Azure ExpressRoute connectivity.
- Microsoft Azure experience focused on IaaS and virtual network infrastructure.
- Ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written) and produce quality technical documentation.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects independently.
- Advanced Microsoft Server certification (or equivalent experience).
- Azure certification(s).
- Networking certification or equivalent experience (Cisco, F5, or similar).
Preferred / Bonus Skills
- Managed Service Provider experience
- Microsoft System Center (SCVMM, SCCM/MECM, SCOM).
- Microsoft Intune.
- Azure Monitor.
- SQL / T-SQL literacy.
- Linux administration experience.
- Layer 2 switch configuration.
- SAN and Fiber Channel fabric administration.
- Advanced reporting and monitoring using PowerShell, SQL, Azure Monitor, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Authentication design experience (SSO, federated authentication via Microsoft Entra ID).
