TechSpace is looking for an experienced AEM Backend Developer to join our Adobe consulting team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Java, and AEM backend technologies, with the ability to develop scalable, secure, and maintainable digital experience solutions.
You will work closely with frontend developers, architects, UX/UI teams, and clients to design, develop, integrate, and deliver enterprise-grade AEM solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain AEM components, services, servlets, models, workflows, schedulers, and OSGi configurations.
- Design and develop scalable backend solutions using Java and AEM frameworks.
- Work extensively with Sling, OSGi, JCR, CRX, and Apache Felix.
- Develop and customize AEM components, templates, dialogs, and content structures.
- Build and integrate REST APIs and third-party services with AEM applications.
- Develop solutions for content management, workflows, data processing, and system integrations.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between AEM backend services and user interfaces.
- Work closely with architects and technical leads to understand requirements and develop effective solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Follow development standards, security practices, and CI/CD processes.
- Contribute to Agile development activities and deliver high-quality solutions within project timelines.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software/backend development.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
- Hands-on experience with AEM Sites and AEM backend development.
- Strong understanding of Sling, OSGi, JCR, CRX, and Apache Felix.
- Experience developing AEM components, servlets, services, Sling Models, workflows, and schedulers.
- Experience with REST APIs and third-party system integrations.
- Familiarity with Git, Maven, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service / AEM Cloud.
- Experience with Adobe Cloud Manager and CI/CD deployment processes.
- Experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, or microservices.
- Knowledge of Oak and AEM repository concepts.
- Experience integrating AEM with external enterprise systems.
- Experience working in an Adobe consulting or client-facing environment.
- Adobe certifications are a plus.
