Position Summary:
The DevSecOps Engineer designs, implements, and operates secure software delivery pipelines for a large-scale federal cloud platform built on AWS. This role is responsible for integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle by implementing CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code, security scanning, and deployment automation. Working closely with developers, cloud engineers, architects, and security teams, the DevSecOps Engineer helps deliver secure, scalable, and compliant cloud-native applications while leveraging AI-assisted development and operations tools to improve delivery quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines supporting cloud-native application delivery.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
• Integrate security scanning, vulnerability assessment, and compliance validation into automated delivery pipelines.
• Support secure application deployment across AWS cloud environments.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, cloud, and security teams to implement DevSecOps best practices throughout the SDLC.
• Implement deployment automation, release management, and environment management processes.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot deployment issues, and continuously improve delivery performance.
• Leverage AI-assisted development and DevOps tooling to improve software quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Minimum Experience:
• 5+ years of DevOps, DevSecOps, or cloud engineering experience.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines in AWS environments.
• Experience implementing security automation within software delivery pipelines.
• Experience supporting Agile software development teams.
Mandatory Skills:

Degrees and Certifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
Preferred:
• AWS Certification (Associate or Professional).
• Security or DevOps certification (e.g., Security+, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent).
