About the Role
We are looking for a motivated PERN Stack Developer Intern who is interested in building real-world web applications and SaaS products.
As an intern, you will work closely with our development team on frontend and backend development, REST APIs, database integration, third-party API integrations, debugging, and improving existing product features.
This is a hands-on role where you will get exposure to production-level application development rather than only working on practice projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React.js / Next.js.
- Build backend services and REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
- Develop, integrate, and test REST APIs and third-party APIs.
- Work with PostgreSQL and understand database design, queries, relationships, and data handling.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
- Implement authentication, authorization, validation, and basic security practices.
- Debug and troubleshoot frontend and backend issues.
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Work with existing codebases and contribute to new product features.
- Test APIs using tools such as Postman or similar API testing tools.
- Work with Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
- Understand and work with API documentation and external service integrations.
- Optimize application performance and fix bugs identified during testing.
- Coordinate with developers and other team members to deliver features on time.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript.
- Hands-on knowledge of React.js.
- Understanding of Next.js.
- Understanding of Node.js and Express.js.
- Good understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods.
- Knowledge of API integration and third-party APIs.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or another relational database.
- Understanding of SQL.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
- Understanding of frontend-backend integration.
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Knowledge of authentication systems such as JWT/OAuth.
- Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
- Understanding of API documentation such as Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Basic knowledge of Docker.
- Familiarity with deployment and cloud environments.
- Experience working on a SaaS, startup, or production project.
- Knowledge of MongoDB is a plus.
