Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform. This role requires a strong understanding of web development best practices, a deep knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem, and a passion for creating exceptional online shopping experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain high-performing and responsive Shopify e-commerce websites.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Shopify's Liquid templating language, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and marketing teams to translate design mockups and business requirements into functional, user-friendly storefronts.
• Implement and configure Shopify apps and third-party integrations (e.g., payment gateways, shipping providers, marketing tools) to enhance site functionality.
• Optimize website performance for speed, mobile responsiveness, and SEO.
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues, ensuring the smooth operation of the online store.
• Perform code reviews and maintain version control using Git.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify updates, e-commerce trends, and web development technologies.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing stores.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Shopify Developer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Expertise in Shopify's Liquid templating language.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (including ES6+).
• Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
• Solid understanding of Shopify's APIs and how to integrate them with other services.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices for e-commerce websites.
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience with tools like Shopify CLI and theme development workflows is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with React, Vue.js, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Familiarity with other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, WooCommerce).
• Knowledge of server-side languages like Node.js or Ruby on Rails.
• Experience in creating and deploying custom Shopify apps.
