About the job
Roles and Responsibilities
• End-to-end product design — Frame user problems with Product, prioritise the highest-friction journeys, and own flows, wireframes, high-fidelity Figma designs, and testable prototypes. Take new ideas from discovery to delivery and improve existing experiences.
• API discovery, Playground, and activation — Own the UI/UX for search, filters, API listings, plan comparison, and the journey from sign-up to a first successful call. Design API-key setup, request configuration, response inspection, and code-snippet interactions, with clear recovery from authentication, request, and quota errors.
• Provider onboarding and publishing — Own the journey from adding an API through endpoint configuration, documentation, pricing plans, and publication. Design validation, previews, and publishing states so providers can resolve issues and go live without assistance.
• Consumer and provider dashboards — Design navigation and views for usage, subscriptions, quotas, revenue, and payouts. Make trends, filters, and drill-downs understandable, with clear next actions and role-appropriate access states.
• Billing and commerce journeys — Own subscription, plan-change, cancellation, invoice, overage, payment-failure, dispute, and payout-status experiences. Make charges, effective dates, limits, and confirmations explicit; validate money flows with Product and Engineering.
• Design system and implementation quality — Own shared Figma components, tokens, and interaction patterns. Specify responsive layouts, accessibility, UX copy, and loading, empty, error, and success states. Resolve feasibility with frontend engineers, provide build-ready specifications, and review React builds through design-defect closure.
•Research, prototyping, and iteration— Turn developer interviews, support feedback, and funnel data into flows, designs, and prototypes. Use AI to accelerate exploration and synthesis; validate outputs through usability testing. Agree success measures with Product and Engineering and improve activation, completion, and usability after launch.
• Agent-native developer experience — Design the human-facing setup and oversight of agent access with Product and Engineering. Make API discovery, permissions, usage, spending controls, and failure states understandable through clear flows and testable prototypes.
What You Bring
• 4-7 years of hands-on product design / UX and UI experience, including complex web products used by real customers.
• A strong portfolio showing shipped work, your personal contribution, research, trade-offs, and measurable outcomes. Include both new product work and improvements to existing journeys.
• Strong interaction and visual design craft. You can simplify technical, data-heavy workflows without hiding information users need to make decisions.
• Expert Figma skills: auto layout, components, variants, variables, interactive prototypes, and developer handoff. Experience building and maintaining a design system.
• Practical research and testing experience, with the ability to connect qualitative findings, product analytics, and experimentation to design decisions.
• Working understanding of responsive web design, accessibility, HTML/CSS, component-based frontends, and API concepts such as authentication, requests, responses, quotas, and errors.
• Hands-on use of AI-assisted design and prototyping tools. You can explain where they improved your work and where you rejected their output.
• Bonus: experience with developer tools, API marketplaces, B2B SaaS, billing and commerce, or AI / agent product experiences.
• Bonus: ability to code interactive prototypes or simple frontend components in HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, or React. Production frontend delivery remains an engineering responsibility.
• You make complex workflows feel simple. You test before you assume. You care as much about what users can do as what the screen looks like.
