About the Company

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer with strong Python development expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native software applications. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of software engineering experience, strong backend/API development skills, and hands-on experience with GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and distributed systems.

Lead Software Engineer – Python / GCP

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable applications using Python.
• Develop robust backend services, REST APIs, and platform components.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions using GCP or comparable cloud platforms.
• Work with infrastructure and application teams to build secure, highly available, and scalable systems.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Participate in architecture, technical design, and code/design reviews.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
• Troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure, and performance issues.
• Apply software engineering best practices around OOP, design patterns, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience.

Required Skills

• Strong Python development expertise.
• Backend/API development skills.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and distributed systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-native solutions.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices.
