Landscape Project Manager

Role Description The Landscape Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area, responsible for overseeing residential and commercial landscape projects from concept through completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating project schedules, managing subcontractors and field crews, and ensuring materials, equipment, and resources are ordered and delivered on time. The role involves conducting site inspections, monitoring quality and safety standards, and resolving issues that arise during construction. The Landscape Project Manager will collaborate with designers and clients to interpret plans, manage budgets, and maintain clear communication on project progress and changes. This position requires active presence on job sites, proactive problem-solving, and consistent alignment of project execution with Zaremba & Company’s design and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with expeditor and expediting responsibilities, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials and services.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budget tracking, and coordination of multiple landscape projects.
• Knowledge of inspection processes, with the ability to perform site walkthroughs, verify work against plans, and uphold safety and quality requirements.
• Proficiency in logistics management to organize crews, equipment, and materials across multiple job sites in the Detroit Metropolitan Area.
• Background in landscape construction, landscape architecture, or related field; prior experience managing outdoor or construction projects is highly beneficial.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, designers, vendors, and field teams.
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced project environment.
• Ability to work on site in varying weather conditions and maintain a focus on safety and professionalism.
• Proficiency with project management software and basic office tools; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Relevant education in landscape architecture, horticulture, construction management, or a related discipline preferred.
