Lead Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Lead Software Developer to join a project for one of Canada’s banks.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced .NET developer who enjoys working with complex data systems, modernising legacy applications, and contributing to large-scale financial technology solutions.

Work format:Hybrid, full-time

Requirements:

• Strong expertise in SQL, stored procedures, and database optimisation
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools, particularly Informatica IICS and/or SSIS
• 3+ years of experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and VB.NET
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
• Experience working with and modernising legacy codebases
• Experience in Wealth Management, investments, trust, custody, trading, or other financial systems will be a strong advantage

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and data workflows
• Work with complex SQL queries and stored procedures
• Build data-focused APIs and ASP.NET applications
• Support integrations across Wealth Management systems
• Modernise legacy applications and address security vulnerabilities
• Contribute to CI/CD, automation, and AI-assisted development
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions for financial systems
