SIMONMILLER is looking for a detail oriented, hard working Assistant Technical Designer to join our team.

What You’ll Do:
- Partner with the Technical Design team to maintain development and production timelines, product quality, and overall department workflow.
- Manage sample deliveries. Recording samples in relevant charts, tracking and unpacking packages, and shipping items.
- Measure and prepare samples for fittings and meetings. Taking detailed measurements and logging them in Excel, inspecting finishings and construction, and steaming and organizing samples.
- Assist and document fittings with thorough note taking, time keeping, and setting up fit areas for meetings.
- Support tech pack development. Working with cross functional departments to set up files with necessary construction and measurement details.
- Maintain relevant charts and forms for WIP's and Fit Agenda, in Excel and Airtable.
- Organize and collect fit samples and partner with Production, E-comm, and Sales for sample send-outs for photoshoots and styling, utilizing Figma and Excel.
- Help to answer customer service questions regarding fit, specs, and construction when needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or Apparel Technical Design
- 1-3 years of industry experience in Apparel Technical Design
- Strong understanding of the apparel design process from concept to product
- Knowledge of knits and woven construction and functionality
- Strong measuring, and pattern making skills
- Must be a team player, collaborative and works well in small team environment
- Must be organized, focused, & self sufficient
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite- Excel, Word, etc., Google Drive, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
- Experience with Airtable is a strong plus
- Experience with FIGMA a plus
- Flexible, a creative problem solver, and open to learning
- Extremely detail oriented with an ability to time manage and meet deadlines
- Comfortable in fast paced environments
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to bend, open, lift, carry and move merchandise and fixtures during fittings
· Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends when business needs
Reporting to: Senior Technical Designer
Pay Transparency: This position offers an salary range starting at $60,000. Final compensation will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, job-related skills, and internal pay alignment.
