Software Solutions Architect – C#, .NET, WPF

About the Role

We're hiring a Solutions Architect to lead large, customer-facing software programs built on C#, .NET, WPF, C++, and Windows desktop technologies. This is a senior technical leadership role for someone who has grown beyond individual project ownership and can now guide multiple leads and engineering teams across complex workstreams. You'll bring strong architecture depth, hands-on engineering credibility, delivery ownership, and the confidence to work directly with customers and stakeholders — driving AI adoption, resolving ambiguity, and delivering scalable, long-term software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead architecture, technical direction, and delivery execution across workstreams — owning design reviews, key decisions, and release sign-off
Define and drive engineering standards, design patterns, coding practices, clean architecture, and SOLID principles
Review system designs, interface contracts, data flows, and technical risks across complex, multi-module environments
Provide technical leadership for WPF/XAML (MVVM, data binding, threading, performance) and C#/C++ development, including native components and hardware integration
Troubleshoot complex issues across multi-process, multi-threaded environments using logs, dumps, traces, and profilers
Own technical delivery planning, estimation, dependency management, and risk tracking
Partner with customers, product, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to translate needs into sustainable software solutions
Mentor senior engineers and technical leads, raising the bar on architecture, debugging, and delivery discipline
Build alignment across local and global teams, supporting customer and cross-site engagements

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
12+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in technical leadership, architecture, or large-scale delivery ownership
Experience leading large engineering teams, multiple workstreams, or Senior Technical Leads
Strong hands-on expertise in C#, .NET / .NET Core / .NET Framework, WPF, XAML, C++, and Windows desktop application development
Deep knowledge of MVVM, OOD, SOLID principles, design patterns, and modular architecture
Strong understanding of multi-threading, async programming, memory management, IPC, and native-managed code interaction
Strong debugging skills across complex, multi-module Windows-based software environments
Working knowledge of SDLC, Agile delivery, CI/CD, version control, and code reviews
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Good to Have

Experience modernizing legacy C#/.NET/WPF/C++ applications or Windows desktop platforms
Performance profiling, memory analysis, and UI responsiveness experience
Exposure to APIs, distributed systems, Win32, native integrations, DevOps, Linux, or HPC environments
Experience with software connected to hardware, instruments, automation, or manufacturing systems
Experience with globally distributed engineering teams
