Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited Too

  • Develop programs utilizing CAM software for machines to produce customer parts and internal tooling
  • Run programming simulations and modify as needed
  • Interpret drawings and product models to make modifications/improvements for in-process tooling, fixtures, and gauges using computer-aided design software applications
  • Conduct quality tests to ensure products meet quality standards and make adjustments as needed
  • Create and maintain accurate records of programming, set-up sheets, and tooling information.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams through providing technical support and project updates
  • Recommend design changes to the customer’s parts to aid design for manufacturability
  • Provide training support on programming and machinery operation
  • Submit purchase requisitions for outsourced mechanical components and tooling
  • Ensure compliance with current CAD/CAM standards to provide quality design
  • Adhere to all safety practices and support safety related activities

Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in 5-Axis CNC programming in a manufacturing and machining environment, 10+ years experience overall preferred
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints & schematics to develop machinery programming
  • Basic computer skills and programming knowledge
  • Understanding of machining properties of various raw materials
  • Ability to stand, sit, move about the facility, and/or lift up to 35lbs during scheduled work hours
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly.
