Controller

PLEASE NOTE: This position is direct hire and NOT C2C eligible.

The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial operations, report directly to the President/CEO, and manage the Accounting team. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting, including AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, fixed assets, inventory, and financial reporting.
• Lead and develop an accounting staff of 3+ employees.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Oversee government contract, grant, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate annual audits and work with external auditors.
• Provide financial analysis to support pricing, contracts, and business decisions.
• Oversee ERP/accounting systems and Chart of Accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of accounting/finance experience.
• Accounting leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance knowledge.
• ERP/accounting software experience.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
