frontend development intern (android)

we're a team of IIT Roorkee grads building bite-sized multiplayer games for 16-20 year olds, to be played in-person.

if you're alone and bored, you scroll. if you're together with your besties and bored, you all just... scroll. together, apart.

we believe screen time spent scrolling content has hit a peak. people increasingly want to be offline, doing shared experiences with friends. for college and school kids, a lot of their daily dead time is already spent together - so the question we're trying to answer is: can we convert that dead time into fun shared moments and experiences?

iykyk is our first shot at it: a fast-paced word-guessing game you play by passing one phone around, that captures funny clips for you to send to the group chat after.

if you get why this needs to exist, intern with us to help bring this to the world.

here's what you'd do:

1. build the mobile app - own features end to end from design to deployment
2. make it fast - optimize performance, squash bugs, ship stable builds
3. shape the product - you're early. your inputs on architecture and UX matter.

what you should have:

1. can ship native android apps - fluent in Kotlin/Jetpack Compose, comfortable with Play Store deployment
2. care about how things feel - notice when animations are janky or flows are confusing
3. built something before - side project, app you shipped, anything you made yourself
4. (bonus) in bangalore, or willing to be

what you'll get:
