The Strike Team Engineer II plays a critical role in keeping Tire Rack’s network and server infrastructure running smoothly. This position supports both daily operations and fast-moving project work, stepping in where expertise and execution are needed most. You’ll work alongside a highly skilled engineering team to deploy, maintain, and improve systems that power our business.
This role is ideal for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys problem-solving, working across platforms, and contributing to short-term, high-impact technical projects.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, manage, and support information and network systems.
- Configure, maintain, and operate Linux and Windows operating system servers.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify opportunities to eliminate recurring problems.
- Support infrastructure projects with short timelines and changing priorities.
- Perform quality assurance testing and identify potential reliability, performance, and capacity risks.
- Assist with network and power capacity planning.
- Schedule, coordinate, and track hardware maintenance activities.
- Install, troubleshoot, and support network and data cabling infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide technical assistance and knowledge sharing to fellow IT team members.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to management and project managers.
- Work collaboratively with other IT teams and project stakeholders to complete assignments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional experience working with IT systems and infrastructure.
- Experience administering both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with network and power capacity planning.
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure and data cabling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects or assignments.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Work Schedule
- Standard Days: Monday – Friday
- Occasional weekends may be required based on project or business needs
- Standard Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (additional hours may be required)
