Overview of the Team

The Finance organization partners across Product, Sales, Customer Success, Compliance, and Engineering to support IPC’s mission-critical solutions (Unigy® trading communications and Connexus® managed connectivity). We operate in a 24×7, multi-entity, multi-currency environment with teams in the US, EMEA, and APAC, collaborating primarily in US Eastern Time with cross-regional coverage.

Role Overview:

The VP, Assistant Corporate Controller is a senior finance leader responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of IPC’s global financial results. This role owns all core accounting operations, including month-end close, technical accounting, financial reporting, statutory audits, and global payroll, within a complex, multi-entity environment.

The VP, Assistant Corporate Controller will drive a highly disciplined and scalable close process, ensure compliance with US GAAP and global regulations, and deliver audit-ready financial statements. This leader partners closely with FP&A, Tax & Treasury, Legal/Compliance, IT, and Revenue Operations, and provides reporting to executive leadership and the Company’s private equity sponsor.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Close & Reporting

  • Own the global month-end close process (GL, consolidations, intercompany), delivering a consistent ≤5-business-day close with best-in-class documentation and controls
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP
  • Ensure strong balance sheet integrity through reconciliations, journal review, and robust flux analysis with clear executive-level commentary

Technical Accounting & Policy

  • Serve as the technical accounting lead, providing guidance on complex accounting matters (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842, business combinations, foreign currency)
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies and governance frameworks aligned to US GAAP and global requirements
  • Evaluate and implement the impact of new accounting standards and regulatory changes

Audit & Compliance

  • Lead all external audits and global statutory audits, partnering with regional teams to ensure timely, efficient execution
  • Own the relationship with external auditors and ensure minimal adjustments and no repeat findings
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure full compliance with SOX 404, including design, documentation, testing, and remediation

Finance Transformation & Process Improvement

  • Drive finance process improvements and automation, reducing manual effort, increasing scalability, and improving data quality
  • Partner with IT and RevOps to optimize end-to-end finance data flows (CRM → CPQ → Billing → ERP)
  • Implement close and controls dashboards (close cycle time, reconciliation aging, audit findings) to drive accountability and transparency

Special Projects

  • Lead and support special projects with significant accounting, reporting, or operational impact, including acquisitions, integrations, restructurings, systems implementations, and other strategic initiatives
  • Partner cross-functionally to assess financial implications, establish governance, and ensure timely execution of project deliverables
  • Provide executive-level updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to support decision-making on high-priority initiatives

Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global controllership team across multiple regions (Madrid, Kuala Lumpur, US)
  • Act as a strategic partner to Finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring business activities are accurately reflected in financial results
  • Support executive reporting, lender reporting, and private equity sponsor requirements, including covenant tracking

  • Deliver a best-in-class close process (≤5 days) with strong controls and audit readiness
  • Ensure financial statements are accurate, compliant, and free of material misstatement
  • Achieve zero material weaknesses or significant deficiencies in control environment
  • Reduce audit adjustments and shorten audit cycles, improving efficiency and cost
  • Enhance financial data integrity and system integration across the finance ecosystem
  • Build a scalable, high-performing global controllership function that supports IPC’s growth

Essential Skills and Experience to be Successful in this Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA (active) or international equivalent required
  • 10+ years progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier) and industry
  • Deep expertise in US GAAP, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), consolidations, and foreign currency
  • Proven leadership of global close, financial reporting, and audit processes in a multi-entity environment
  • Strong experience with SOX 404 controls (design, execution, and remediation)
  • ERP expertise (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and strong systems/process orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at executive level, influencing senior stakeholders and translating complex accounting topics
  • Experience within private equity-backed organizations

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in SaaS/subscription, connectivity/network services, or hardware revenue models
  • IFRS familiarity and experience in multi-jurisdiction accounting environments
  • Experience with finance transformation, automation, and close orchestration tools
  • Background in public company or IPO-readiness environments
  • Experience leading shared services or offshore teams
  • M&A integration and purchase accounting experience
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive change, build teams, and scale operations
