Platform Integrations Engineer, AI Systems

The Role
We're looking for a platform integrations engineer to own the connective tissue between our realtime, multi-modal AI systems and the outside world — partner APIs, third-party platforms, and internal services. You'll be the person who makes sure data and events flow reliably across systems that don't always play nice together, often in realtime.

This is a hands-on role on a small team, where you'll have real ownership over which integrations get built and how.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain integrations between our AI systems and third-party APIs and platforms
• Work directly with partner and vendor APIs — handling auth, rate limits, versioning, and failure modes gracefully
• Build the connective tissue that lets our AI systems reliably talk to the outside world in realtime
• Debug integration issues quickly, often with limited or inconsistent documentation on the other side
• Collaborate with the core engineering team to prioritize which integrations matter most and design them to last

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience building and maintaining integrations
• Fluency working with a wide range of APIs (REST, GraphQL, webhooks, streaming)
• Experience doing integrations for AI systems specifically — connecting models, agents, or AI platforms to other systems
• Comfort dealing with ambiguous or under-documented third-party systems
• Curious, entrepreneurial, and comfortable speaking your mind — we want people who'll push back on a bad idea, ours included
• A self-starter who takes real ownership and accountability, but also works well as part of a small, close-knit team

Bonus points for:

• Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) into production systems
• Experience with realtime or streaming APIs (WebRTC, websockets)
• Background in security preferred
