IST Precision Inc. is an engineering and manufacturing company specializing in high precision instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and diagnostics. Established in 2001, we design and build precision instrumentation and automation equipment, with our own fabrication shop, machine design group, controls group, and panel shop. For over 25 years, we have delivered engineering and custom automation across defense and aerospace (DOD), telecommunications, space, medical device, life science, and automotive industries. With more than 34 engineers and technicians, IST integrates mechanical, electrical, and software expertise with in house manufacturing and assembly to deliver turnkey systems from concept to commissioning.
We are seeking a full time Mechanical Design Engineer with 5+ experience in the design, build, and testing of mechanical and electrical equipment. You will work with our team to design 3D SolidWorks solid models, coordinate with manufacturing vendors, and run diagnostics and testing of machines assembled and built at our company. This is a hands on role tightly coupled to real hardware, working alongside electrical, controls, and software engineers from concept through build and commissioning.
