We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Java Developer with 5 6+ years of hands-on software development experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, REST APIs, and Microservices, along with a solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and modern software development practices.

This is a W2 opportunity and is best suited for a hands-on backend engineer who remains actively involved in coding, system design, debugging, and technical problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices.
• Develop event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Design high-performance and scalable backend systems.
• Apply strong knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, data structures, and design patterns.
• Work with SQL and relational databases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and production issues.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software engineering best practices.
• Work with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate effectively with distributed teams in a remote environment.

Required Qualifications

• 5 6+ years of hands-on backend software development experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java.
• Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Strong experience developing REST APIs and Microservices.
• Experience designing scalable, high-performance backend systems.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, data structures, and design patterns.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Experience with high-volume transactional applications.
