Full Stack Engineer

Charter Solutions is hiring an experienced Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and support scalable applications and data-driven solutions using AWS, Databricks, Python, React, and Java. This role will work across the full software development lifecycle, partnering with product owners, architects, data engineers, and other technology teams to build secure, high-performing applications and services. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across both front-end and back-end development and has experience integrating modern cloud and data platforms into enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full stack applications using Java, Python, and React.
• Build responsive, user-friendly front-end applications and reusable React components.
• Develop scalable back-end services, APIs, and application logic using Java and Python.
• Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs, databases, cloud services, and data platforms.
• Troubleshoot application issues and identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.

AWS & Cloud Development

• Develop and deploy applications and services within AWS cloud environments.
• Leverage AWS services to build scalable, secure, and highly available solutions.
• Support cloud-native application development, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Apply cloud development best practices related to security, performance, availability, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams on CI/CD, automated deployments, and cloud environments.

Data & Databricks

• Develop solutions that integrate application functionality with Databricks and enterprise data platforms.
• Work with data engineers and architects to consume and expose data through APIs and application services.
• Develop Python-based data processing and integration solutions within Databricks.
• Support data ingestion, transformation, and processing workflows as needed.
• Help ensure applications efficiently interact with large-scale data environments.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Data Engineers, and other developers to understand requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and provide estimates for development work.
• Perform code reviews and promote development standards, testing, documentation, and maintainability.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with full stack application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Python.
• Strong front-end development experience with React.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience developing applications in AWS environments.
• Experience working with Databricks
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Git-based source control and modern development practices.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, debugging, testing, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
