Role Description: The Design Build Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Titusville, Florida. This position oversees design-build projects from concept through completion, coordinating design development, permitting, and construction activities to meet scope, schedule, and budget targets. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading project planning meetings, managing design consultants and subcontractors, reviewing drawings and specifications, and ensuring alignment between design and field execution. The role also involves monitoring project budgets and schedules, preparing progress reports, maintaining documentation, and communicating with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders. The Design Build Project Manager is expected to support safety and quality initiatives, proactively address risks, and drive project delivery in accordance with contract requirements and company standards.
Qualifications
- Strong design management skills, including coordination of multidisciplinary design teams and review of plans, specifications, and constructability.
- Proficient project management and project planning skills, with experience in scheduling, scope control, risk management, and contract administration of projects valued at $25M or more.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, designers, field staff, and subcontractors, and for producing clear written reports and documentation.
- Budgeting skills, including cost tracking, forecasting, and supporting change order and payment application processes.
- Experience in heavy civil construction, railroad, or federal contracting environments is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Titusville, Florida with strong organizational skills and attention to safety and quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar) and standard office applications.
