About the Role

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to own and improve the infrastructure behind Marloa's products. You'll work closely with the engineering team to make sure our systems are reliable, secure, scalable, easy to deploy, and easy to monitor. This is a hands-on role. We're looking for someone who has actually worked with production systems, particularly on Google Cloud and Kubernetes, not just completed cloud certifications or tutorials.

What You'll Work On

Build and maintain cloud infrastructure for Marloa's products, primarily on Google Cloud
Manage production, staging, and development environments
Build and improve CI/CD pipelines
Work with Docker and containerized applications, and manage Kubernetes clusters in production
Manage cloud services, networking, DNS, SSL, and access controls (IAM)
Set up monitoring, logging, alerts, and observability
Improve system reliability, performance, and uptime
Automate infrastructure and deployment processes
Manage secrets, environment variables, and infrastructure security
Support database infrastructure, backups, and recovery processes
Investigate and resolve production incidents
Work with backend engineers to improve deployment and release processes
Help Marloa scale its infrastructure as customers and product usage grow

What We're Looking For

2+ years of practical DevOps, cloud, infrastructure, or SRE experience
Hands-on experience managing production systems
Strong proficiency in Google Cloud (GCP) specifically; AWS experience is acceptable as an alternative
Strong, hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production, not just sandbox or tutorial exposure
Strong knowledge of Linux & Bash
Experience with Docker
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Good understanding of networking, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and SSL
Experience with Git and GitHub
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Understanding of infrastructure security and access control
Ability to investigate incidents and identify root causes
Ability to work independently and take ownership of infrastructure

Nice to Have

Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
Experience with GitHub Actions
Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or similar
Experience supporting SaaS or AI products
Experience managing high-availability systems
Experience with database operations, backups, and disaster recovery
Previous startup experience

We care more about your ability to operate real production infrastructure, solve problems, and take ownership than certifications alone.

This is an early-stage role with significant responsibility and ownership.
