Founding Product Engineer

Unyceet is looking for a Founding Product Engineer to join our team as we take an established product into live market validation.

You’ll work closely with the Founder/CEO, helping turn real customer and market problems into product solutions, alongside two experienced engineers with strong fintech domain expertise specialising across backend systems, site reliability and scalable cloud infrastructure.

We’re looking for a product-minded full-stack engineer to complement that team — someone who has built products end-to-end and can take ownership across the product stack, from mobile and web interfaces through to APIs and backend services.

You should be comfortable taking a product problem from concept through to production: understanding the problem and user experience, helping shape the solution, making sound technical decisions, identifying what’s required across the wider system, and working with the engineering team to deliver and iterate on the complete solution.

The core Unyceet product is already built and approaching market validation. You’ll be joining a capable founding team with the technical foundation in place, with the opportunity to take significant ownership of product engineering and its technical direction as we move from building into real-world adoption and scale.

Fintech experience is valuable, but not essential. Strong product engineering judgement, end-to-end ownership and the ability to build high-quality user-facing software matter more.

Initially contributing for equity during market validation, with the intention of moving into a full-time salaried role once funding has been secured.

Core responsibilities include:

• Owning product features from concept through to production
• iOS and Android application development
• Web application and frontend development
• Consumer-facing and merchant-facing product development
• Full-stack feature development across frontend, APIs and backend services
• Frontend and product architecture
• Translating product and UX requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Identifying technical requirements across the wider platform and collaborating with backend, infrastructure and reliability engineers to deliver them
• Rapidly iterating based on real-world customer and merchant feedback
• Taking increasing technical leadership and ownership of Unyceet’s product engineering as the company grows
