About the Role

We’re looking for an AI/ML Engineer Intern who is excited about building practical AI products using modern language models, APIs, agent workflows, and machine learning tools.

This is an applied AI role. You won’t just be studying models or doing research — you’ll help build, test, and improve AI features used in real products.

You’ll work closely with our engineering team and get hands-on experience building modern AI systems.

What You’ll Work On

• Build prototypes and product features using LLM APIs
• Work with models from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar
• Build and test AI agent workflows
• Work with tool/function calling and structured outputs
• Build RAG and knowledge-retrieval workflows
• Work with embeddings and vector databases
• Connect AI systems with APIs and external tools
• Test prompts, model outputs, and agent behaviour
• Help evaluate AI quality, reliability, latency, and cost
• Build small Python services and backend components
• Research and test new AI models, frameworks, and techniques
• Work with engineers to move successful prototypes into Marloa products

What We’re Looking For

• Good knowledge of Python
• Strong interest in AI, machine learning, and LLMs
• Basic understanding of APIs and backend development
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub
• Strong problem-solving and debugging ability
• Ability to learn new technologies independently
• Comfortable experimenting and building quickly
• Personal AI/ML projects, GitHub projects, university projects, or other work that demonstrates your ability

Nice to Have

• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar APIs
• Experience with RAG, embeddings, or vector databases
• Experience building AI agents or tool-calling workflows
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or similar Python frameworks
• Basic machine learning knowledge
• Experience deploying AI applications
• Participation in hackathons, open-source projects, or AI projects

We care more about your ability to build, experiment, learn quickly, and solve problems than your degree or previous job experience.

This is an opportunity to work on real-world AI products in an early-stage startup and gain hands-on experience with modern AI systems.

Stipend: ₹10,000–₹15,000 per month, depending on skills and demonstrated ability.
