Job description:

Electrical Fault Isolation Test Engineer Responsibilities

  • Develop methods and perform package- and chip-level fault isolation to identify failure locations using a DMM, IV-CV curve traces, an LCR meter, an oscilloscope, a TDR, and LIT.
  • Operate and maintain high-throughput testing and characterization tools such as probe stations, flying probe testers, and automatic optical inspection tools
  • Perform electrical bench testing and interpret ATE data logs to localize electrical failures.
  • Develop, characterize, and optimize FA techniques and tools to advance FA capabilities/efficiency.
  • Write in-detailed easy to follow SOPs for each technique being developed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical fault isolation method developments on PCB, FPC, semiconductors, analog, mixed-signal IC devices,
  • Hands-on experience in electrical fault isolation and defect characterization tools and techniques, including but not limited to TDR, LIT, curve tracing, and flying prob tester.
  • In-depth understanding of both digital and analog circuits, device physics, and IC/PCB fabrication processes
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's work group

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar discipline.
  • Knowledge of IC or PCB manufacturing flows and failure mechanisms
  • Experience in program development for C/C++/C#, Python, and LabView
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate electrical functionality and long-term reliability usinga wafer-level probe station and system-level test apparatus
  • Detail-oriented with critical thinking, structured problem solving, and practical application of Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, inclusive of internal partners
