Company Overview

We are a growing, collaborative architecture firm based in Mansfield, Ma. We specialize in high-quality financial and business projects, and pride ourselves on bridging beautiful design with highly buildable, technically sound solutions.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, technically proficient Architectural Designer (4-6 years of experience) to join our team. You will work closely with Project Managers and architectural staff to develop and execute comprehensive construction document sets. This role requires a strong focus on construction detailing, building envelope design, and the seamless coordination of architectural drawings with structural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) engineering consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construction Documentation: Independently prepare and coordinate accurate, comprehensive construction document sets (plans, sections, details, and schedules) using Revit.
  • Construction Detailing: Produce highly accurate, buildable details for complex building components, assemblies, and custom millwork.
  • Consultant Coordination: Coordinate architectural plans with structural, civil, and MEP engineering drawings to ensure zero conflicts.
  • Code Compliance: Research and apply local building codes, life safety codes, and zoning bylaws to design and detailing.
  • Construction Administration: Assist with CA tasks, including reviewing shop drawings, processing RFIs (Requests for Information), and conducting site visits to verify compliance with design intent.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 4 to 6 years of post-graduate professional experience in an architectural or A/E (Architecture/Engineering) firm.
  • Education: Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or B.S. in Architecture) required.
  • Software Proficiency: High proficiency in Revit is strictly required; working knowledge of Enscape, Bluebeam and Microsoft 365 products is preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated competency in construction detailing, building envelope systems, and typical construction methods (wood frame, steel, and masonry).
