Helira Energy Private Limited is a brand + technology company for residential rooftop solar in Bengaluru. Helira-certified installers carry out the physical work; the warranty and accountability stay with Helira. Homeowners get a satellite-image rooftop quote in minutes and book online; behind that, an internal proposal and field application keeps every job specified, documented and traceable. Both applications are live in production.

Why this role exists

Both applications were built founder-led with AI-assisted development and are already in production. Helira is opening two engineering seats at the same time - this one and a Product Engineer - and will fill them in whichever order the right people are found. You will work directly with the founder from the start, and alongside the Product Engineer once that seat is filled. The mandate is straightforward: add hands to ship faster across the customer app, the field app and the careers/apply stack, while building toward owning modules independently.

What you will do

-- Build features across the customer-facing quote-and-booking app and the internal field app, working from specs set with the founder and, once that seat is filled, the Product Engineer.

• - Contribute to the careers and application stack used for hiring across the company.
• - Work in TypeScript and Next.js against PostgreSQL on a serverless deployment.
• - Fix bugs and handle support issues surfaced from the field app used by installers certified to Helira's standard.
• - Use AI-assisted development tooling heavily in daily work - this is how the team works.
• - Write tests for the paths you own, particularly around payments, bookings and field data capture.
• - Take ownership of specific modules as they are assigned, growing toward broader scope over time.

Essential requirements

• 2-4 years building full-stack applications with TypeScript, React and Node.
• - Real production experience: you have shipped code that real users touched and helped keep it running, even if you were not the sole owner.
• - Comfortable working from a spec set by someone else, and asking good questions when it is incomplete. -- Exposure to PostgreSQL and serverless deployment. --Hands-on with deploying and operating a web application in production — build, environment configuration, preview and production releases, and rollback. Vercel specifically is what we run on; equivalent platform experience is fine.
• - Fluent, willing use of AI-assisted development tooling in daily work.
• - Based in Bengaluru or relocating; this is an in-person role from September.

Preferred

• - Any experience with mapping, geospatial or image-processing features.
• - Payment-gateway or SMS/OTP integration experience.
• - Startup or small-team experience, where you owned a feature end to end.
