What you can expect as a Machine Shop Programmer at DAS Aviation:

In this role, you will be instrumental in providing the engineering data required to support manufacturing, quality, inspection, and quoting activities for the Machine Shop and New Manufacturing Departments

You Will Be ESSENTIAL To Many FUNCTIONS Including

  • Support the Machine Shop and New Manufacturing operations.
  • Creates and maintains CATIA and Autodesk Inventor 3D models and manufacturing drawings.
  • Produces manufacturing drawings with dimensioning and tolerancing in accordance with ANSI Y14.5M and ASME Y14.5.
  • Supports Gulfstream's CATIA manufacturing requirements by converting legacy Autodesk Inventor drawings to CATIA. Approximately 10–15 of nearly 1,000 drawings have been converted to date.
  • Reverse engineers customer-supplied sample parts by manually measuring features and creating accurate 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings for Machine Shop and New Manufacturing operations.
  • Provides technical support during the quoting process by evaluating customer requirements to determine manufacturability, required manufacturing processes, tooling requirements, and overall manufacturing capability.
  • Generates CAD models required for CMM programming and inspection.
  • Supports engineering changes, drawing revisions, and configuration control.
  • Designs tooling, fixtures, and work holding required to support manufacturing operations.
  • Develops standardized manufacturing documentation, including technical work instructions and Corridor travelers.
  • Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Your Education

What you’ll need to bring with you:

A High school diploma or equivalent.

A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Your Experience

3-5 years’ experience in aircraft or component maintenance.

Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints
