Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Mechanical Engineer at ASGCO®. The Mechanical Engineer will design and develop bulk material handling conveyor components and systems, with a focus on improving performance, safety, and reliability. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and revising 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD software, performing calculations and analyses to validate designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support product development and continuous improvement. The role involves participating in research and development activities, preparing technical documentation, and providing engineering support to manufacturing, sales, and service teams. The Mechanical Engineer will also contribute to project planning, timelines, and coordination to ensure successful delivery of engineering solutions.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and experience applying mechanical principles to industrial equipment or material handling systems.
  • Proficiency in Machine Design, including component selection, stress analysis, and design for manufacturability and reliability.
  • Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, drafting, and design documentation.
  • Ability to manage projects effectively, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating tasks with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in Research and Development (R&D), including concept development, testing, and iterative design improvement.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Experience in conveyor systems, bulk material handling, or industrial machinery is beneficial.
  • Ability to work productively in a remote environment and collaborate using digital communication tools.
