About the job
LightLeap AI, an N2N Services company · [Atlanta, GA] · Full-time ·
Forward deployed means pointed at the customer, not stationed at their site. You work from our Duluth office alongside the people who build the platform, and you spend your week on video with a registrar whose data is a mess, an IT director who has been burned by three vendors, and a provost who wants to know why this is taking so long. No account manager between you and them. You answer the question.
A builder gets a seed and returns a product. You get a situation and return a solution.
Why this role exists
Institutions don't buy software anymore. They buy whether the thing will actually work on their campus, with their systems, in their fiscal year. That question gets answered by whoever is on the call.
What you'll do
- Deploy and configure our platform inside the customer's environment — Banner, PeopleSoft, Workday, Anthology
- Write real code. Integrations, migrations, the fix nobody anticipated
- Own the technical relationship with a portfolio of institutions, from kickoff through go-live
- Run the hard conversations yourself — the missed date, the surprise requirement, the executive who wants answers today
- Hand off cleanly. You're in the room before you take over, and the next team is in the room before you leave
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in implementation, solutions engineering, or delivery on enterprise software
- Real technical depth. You will be debugging while the customer watches
- Higher ed experience strongly preferred. If you have sat through a registrar's cutover weekend, we want to talk
- Daily hands-on use of AI tools in your own work. Not as a curiosity. As how you operate
- Executive presence with a CIO and patience with the analyst who has run the same manual process for eleven years
Working arrangement
Onsite in Duluth, Georgia. Customer engagement happens over Zoom and Google Meet, not on a plane — you sit with the people who build the platform, so when you find something broken, you can walk to the person who fixes it. Occasional travel for major go-lives. Rare, and never a surprise.
What this role is not
It is not a junior posting. It is not what you do until an engineering seat opens up. It is our highest-trust assignment, because you are the one making the call with our name on you.
It is not account management. If your work is moving information between two people who could talk to each other, that work is already gone.
How to apply
Send your resume and a short note to [[email protected]]. Tell me about a deployment that went wrong and what you did while it was still going wrong.
