Position Title: Account Executive

Reports To: VP of Sales

Position Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Portland, Maine headquarters, hybrid, or fully remote location within the United States. Preference given to candidates located within territory (WI, MN or CO).

Compensation Structure: Base salary + commission; Total annual compensation between $120,000 and $240,000

As an Account Executive for HighByte, you will be responsible for thinking strategically as you qualify leads and working opportunities through the sales cycle to closure. With the support of the HighByte team, you will have the opportunity to have an impact on our product, positioning, and overall success.

Essential Functions

  • Evangelize and effectively communicate the value of HighByte and HighByte Intelligence Hub to prospects.
  • Collaborate with our technology partner ecosystem, including but not limited to Snowflake, AWS, Databricks, and Siemens.
  • Work collaboratively with your Pod (Sales Engineer and Business Development Rep) to question and develop an understanding of the prospect's challenges and value of solving them.
  • Manage the land-to-expand life cycle of direct sales to large manufacturing and other industrial companies.
  • Develop sales strategies to increase sales pipeline, shorten time-to-close, and improve close rate.
  • Effectively use the company’s CRM system to log sales activity and track deals in real time.

  • Familiar with CRM systems and tracking sales progress
  • Agile and adaptive work behaviors while monitoring and reacting to results
  • Understands cloud, analytics, and manufacturing technology products and trends

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent foreign degree in related field
  • 5+ years of B2B software sales experience in the industrial/manufacturing space
  • Proven success in the Account Executive role selling into strategic accounts ($1B or more in revenue) with an average initial deal size of $25-100k
  • Ability to leverage strategic partners and engage executives to close business
  • Professional experience with CRM, prospecting, and social media tools
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
