Mechanical Design Engineer

Join an innovative engineering team developing complex mechanical components and systems. This role offers hands-on involvement throughout the product lifecycle, including design, testing, validation, production support, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Support product testing, verification, and qualification activities.
• Participate in customer and internal design reviews.
• Analyze technical issues and recommend design improvements.
• Support manufacturing, quality, and business development teams with technical expertise.
• Assist with project scheduling, cost tracking, and status reporting.
• Provide sustaining engineering support for existing products.
• Support Design for Excellence (DFX) initiatives, including manufacturability, reliability, and cost optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 2–4 years of mechanical design or product development experience.
• Experience creating 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, Autodesk, or similar CAD software.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Ability to travel occasionally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing complex mechanical components or systems.
• Familiarity with product testing, validation, and qualification processes.
• Experience supporting products from concept through production.
• CAD software certification is a plus.
