Engineering Manager - RMN Platform Operations

As the Engineering Manager, RMN Platform Operations, you’ll lead the team responsible for keeping Best Buy’s Retail Media Network platform ecosystem running smoothly. You’ll help build and improve the support model for critical platforms, guide incident response, and work with product, engineering, operations, and vendor teams to solve complex technical issues. This is a great opportunity to shape how platform operations scale while leading a team focused on reliability, service quality, and continuous improvement.

In this role, you'll primarily work virtually from home or another non‑Best Buy location. However, you must live within a drivable distance to our corporate campus in Richfield, Minnesota. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team, and the recruiter or hiring manager will provide additional details during the hiring process.

What You'll Do

• Lead operational readiness, launch support, hypercare, and post-go-live stabilization activities for the RMN Pitch-to-Pay program
• Oversee technical triage, incident response, escalations, and root cause analysis
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve platform, integration, and data issues
• Define support processes, service levels, metrics, and operational reporting
• Improve platform reliability through automation, documentation, and process improvements
• Coach and support engineers while building a strong operations culture
• Support the evolution of intelligent automation and future agentic support capabilities across RMN platforms

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years delivering, supporting and operating enterprise technology platforms
• 2 years leading engineering, platform operations, or technical support teams
• 5 years of experience managing production incidents, escalations, and root cause analysis
• 5 years of experience working with integrated platforms, APIs, SaaS applications, and enterprise workflows
• 3 years of experience utilizing enterprise ticketing platforms (ie. Jira, Service Now)
• 2 years of experience supporting service operations, including SLA and KPI management

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience leading platform operations, reliability, or support engineering functions
• 2 years of experience supporting Retail Media, AdTech, MarTech, Salesforce, or advertising platforms
• Experience managing large, integrated platform environments and vendor relationships
• 2 years of experience improving operations through automation and self-service capabilities
• Ability to influence teams and build strong partnerships across the organization
