Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Laguna Hills, CA, responsible for overseeing architectural and interior design projects from concept through completion. This role coordinates project schedules, resources, and budgets, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements. The Project Manager will manage communication among internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients, facilitating timely decisions and resolving issues that may affect scope or timelines. Daily responsibilities include tracking project milestones, monitoring construction progress and documentation, preparing status reports, and supporting inspections and permitting processes as needed. The role also contributes to process improvements and promotes a collaborative project environment aligned with the firm’s design vision and brand.
Qualifications
- Project management skills, including experience in planning, organizing, and overseeing design or construction projects.
- Expeditor and expediting skills to coordinate permits, approvals, and documentation with regulatory bodies and third parties.
- Inspection-related skills to support site visits, quality checks, and compliance with building codes and standards.
- Logistics management skills to organize materials, schedules, and workflows across multiple stakeholders and locations.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Proficiency with project management software and common design and documentation tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel; familiarity with CAD/BIM is a plus).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and construction administration practices is preferred.
- Must be proficient at using REVIT
