Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and closing commercial mechanical construction projects while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Job Functions
· Manage commercial mechanical construction projects from award through close-out.
· Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
· Review project contracts and specifications.
· Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
· Monitor project costs, profitability, billings, and change orders.
· Maintain project documentation and project records.
· Serve as the primary contact for clients, architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
· Coordinate project engineers, superintendents, and field personnel.
· Support quality initiatives and OSHA/company safety compliance.
· Provide guidance and mentoring to Assistant PMs, Project Engineers, and co-op students
Minimum Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
· Experience managing commercial mechanical construction projects.
· Knowledge of HVAC/mechanical systems and ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
· PMP certification preferred.
· Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, or similar construction software.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Leadership, communication, financial management, contract administration, organization, negotiation, problem-solving, customer service, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Physical Requirements
Ability to visit active construction sites, walk uneven terrain, climb stairs or ladders as needed, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work Environment
Work is performed in both an office environment and active commercial construction sites. Hours are somewhat flexible but should include an 8 hour day between 7am and 6pm. Most work is performed locally and travel is not a regular part of this role. However, some travel may be required to support regional projects, attend training, or participate in meetings.
