Sr. Full Stack Engineer - Design Focused

About the Role

We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer with a designer's eye—someone who can translate Figma files into pixel-perfect, delightful user experiences while architecting the robust APIs and databases that power them. You'll own features from wireframe to deployment, ensuring every interaction feels intuitive and every backend is scalable and secure.

We're a fully remote, global team that hires from anywhere, pairing a transparent global flat-rate pay model with a generous home office stipend to help you craft your ideal workspace. We believe great engineering is great design, and we're building our products on modern web technologies around React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS. You should be comfortable across the full stack—from crafting beautiful UIs to building scalable APIs and infrastructure—but we expect you to bring a strong design sensibility to everything you build.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership and designers to turn product requirements and Figma designs into fast, elegant, fully functional web applications.
• Build and ship features across our entire stack, owning projects from ideation to deployment and beyond.
• Ensure pixel-perfect implementation and smooth, responsive user experiences that delight our customers.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while taking pride in software quality through rigorous testing and automated unit tests.
• Troubleshoot production issues, provide resolutions, and continuously improve our systems and user experience.
• Contribute to technical and product decisions, bringing a design-minded perspective to every discussion.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with strong full stack expertise.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Strong eye for design and user experience—you care about spacing, typography, color, and micro-interactions.
• Experience translating design files (Figma, Sketch, etc.) into production-ready code.
• Strong fundamental understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Proven experience in designing and developing scalable, high-performance web applications.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
• Able to model and design intuitive and scalable schemas.
• Experience with agile/scrum development methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Passion for technology, design, and a continuous learner mindset.
• Motivated to leverage new AI tools and technologies to improve workflows.
• Someone who isn't afraid of responsibility, a good sense of humor, and a down-to-earth personality.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and DevOps practices is a plus.
