We’re looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead and strengthen our quality program across three manufacturing facilities, with Winchester, Indiana location serving as the home base.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands manufacturing quality, enjoys solving problems at the root cause, and can work effectively across production, technical teams, customers, and leadership. Experience in aluminum foundry or metal casting operations is strongly preferred.
As Quality Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure our aluminum castings consistently meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, customer specifications, and company standards
• Lead internal, external, and customer quality audits
• Monitor production quality and investigate casting defects
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
• Manage customer quality concerns, complaints, and corrective actions
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities
• Ensure measuring and inspection equipment is properly calibrated
• Maintain quality documentation, records, and product traceability
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across operations
• Promote safe work practices and regulatory compliance
• Provide quality leadership and support across all three company facilities, traveling between locations as needed
Leadership Responsibilities
You’ll lead and mentor a small team of Quality Lab Technicians, providing the training, coaching, and development needed to strengthen technical skills, quality performance, and safety awareness.
Just as importantly, you’ll help foster a positive, accountable work environment centered on quality, productivity, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Industrial Technology, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience
• 5+ years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Aluminum foundry or metal casting experience preferred - not required
• Working knowledge of SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, GD&T, and Root Cause Analysis
• Experience with quality audits, corrective actions, customer quality requirements, and QMS administration
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability and willingness to support multiple facilities, with Winchester as the primary location
Manufacturing Environment
This position works in an active manufacturing environment and at times requires the ability to work around molten metal, machinery, dust, and industrial noise. Appropriate PPE is required while on the production floor.
