AmeriKooler is part of ARK MFG, a Miami-based manufacturing group building the new American manufacturing renaissance — Manufacturing 2.0. We design and build commercial refrigeration and walk-in coolers, and we're scaling fast. This isn't legacy manufacturing running on tribal knowledge — it's a business that wants engineers who can put a dollar figure on every improvement they make.

The Opportunity

We're hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to own process improvement across the plant floor — labor, material, cycle time, layout, and equipment utilization — and turn it into measurable cost savings and ROI. This is a high-visibility role: your projects get presented to leadership, and your results move the P&L. If you want a job where "I saved the company $X this year" is a literal, trackable statement, this is it.

What You'll Do:

• Analyze manufacturing and assembly processes to eliminate waste, bottlenecks, and non-value-added work
• Run time studies, set labor standards, and drive down labor hours per unit
• Reduce scrap, rework, and material waste — and quantify the savings
• Build business cases (payback period, ROI) for tooling, automation, and capital projects
• Apply Lean tools (5S, VSM, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, Line Balancing) directly on the floor with production teams
• Improve plant layout, work cells, and equipment placement to cut handling and WIP
• Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Purchasing to drive cross-functional improvements
• Own manufacturing KPIs — cost per unit, throughput, uptime, yield — and use data to prioritize what matters

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5+ years in manufacturing/industrial engineering with real process-improvement and cost-reduction wins
• Strong grasp of labor, material, and manufacturing cost analysis
• Working Lean Manufacturing knowledge; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt a plus
• Comfortable in Excel and basic CAD for tooling, fixtures, or layouts
• Fabrication, sheet metal, insulated panel, or similar assembly-environment experience preferred
• ERP/MRP exposure and experience building ROI/cost-justification cases a plus
• Equally comfortable in the office and on the shop floor
