Position Summary

We are seeking an IBM DataPower API Developer to support the development, integration, and production operations of enterprise applications across automotive Finance, Sales, Manufacturing, Warranty, and Parts environments.

This role will focus on developing and supporting APIs using IBM DataPower, building REST-based integrations, implementing API security, and supporting integrations across on-premises and AWS cloud environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on API development and application support experience and can work effectively across application, infrastructure, security, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and support APIs using IBM DataPower
• Build and maintain REST/JSON APIs and enterprise system integrations
• Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL/TLS, and related security standards
• Support integrations across AWS cloud and on-premises environments
• Provide production application support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution
• Support major enterprise applications across Finance, Sales, Manufacturing, Warranty, and Parts
• Collaborate with application, security, infrastructure, and cross-functional technology teams
• Maintain high levels of system availability and operational reliability
• Support projects while maintaining established cost and schedule objectives
• Perform daily operational activities and utilize PDCA principles for continuous improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve application reliability, performance, and support processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive technical solutions and achieve business objectives

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience
• 2–5 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing API solutions
• Hands-on experience with IBM DataPower
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and enterprise integrations
• Experience with API security including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SSL/TLS
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments
• Experience working with application, infrastructure, and security teams
• Understanding of IT infrastructure planning and development
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and technical stakeholders
• Understanding of data privacy practices and requirements
