Position Details (What will you be doing?)
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager (HR Manager) to join our growing, dynamic team. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering the full range of HR support across ecoATM's Operations staff, with a focus on the hourly workforce. This role owns employee relations, staffing and onboarding, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations on-site, acting as the trusted point of contact for hourly employees, supervisors, staffing vendors and site leadership. The HR Manager partners closely with Operations to drive engagement, retention, and a consistent, high-performance culture across all locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR business partner to site leadership across both Louisville facilities and our San Diego facility, providing hands-on support for the hourly employee population across our Processing and Kiosk Operations teams.
- Lead employee relations efforts including investigations, conflict resolution, coaching supervisors, and administering corrective action consistently across both sites.
- Manage full-cycle hourly recruiting and onboarding in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team, including staffing plans, job postings, interviews, and new-hire orientation.
- Own attendance, timekeeping, and leave administration (FMLA, ADA, state leave) for the hourly workforce.
- Ensure compliance with federal, Kentucky state, and CA state employment law, including wage and hour, safety, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Partner with Operations leaders (site managers, shift supervisors) on workforce planning, shift staffing, and labor cost management.
- Drive employee engagement programming, recognition, and communication to strengthen retention among hourly staff.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, mid-year and annual reviews, and performance improvement plans.
- Partner with EHS/Safety on incident response, workers' compensation case management, and safety culture initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee data and HR records across both sites; prepare reports and metrics (turnover, headcount, time-to-fill) for HR and site leadership.
- Lead or support local implementation of company-wide HR initiatives (compensation changes, policy rollouts, open enrollment, RTO/facility changes).
- Travel regularly between the two Louisville facilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of progressive HR generalist/manager experience, with direct experience supporting hourly, multi-site, or industrial/operations workforces.
- Working knowledge of federal, CA and KY employment law (wage and hour, leave, workers' compensation, safety).
- Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters independently and with sound judgment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable building trust with hourly employees and frontline supervisors.
- Experience with HRIS and timekeeping systems; strong Excel/reporting skills.
- PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, depending on site population.
Location (Where will you be working?)
- On-site role 4 days per week, splitting time between both Louisville facilities.
- May require occasional early, evening, availability to support urgent employee relations matters.
Pay Range (How much might you earn in your base salary?)
$90,000 - $110,000 base*
- This position may also be eligible for short-term and long-term incentives based on individual and company performance.
