Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer (AWS)

Location: Downtown Houston, TX (100% Onsite – 5 days/week)

Duration: Long-term Contract

We are seeking a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to design, build, and support scalable AWS infrastructure supporting AI, Data Science, and enterprise application platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on automation, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and cloud platform reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Develop, automate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, or similar tools
• Integrate security and compliance controls into deployment pipelines
• Support Kubernetes-based container platforms and cloud-native applications
• Automate deployments using Python, Bash, and Shell scripting
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of AWS Platform/DevOps Engineering experience
• 5+ years of Terraform (or CloudFormation) experience
• 5+ years with GitHub and/or GitLab
• 5+ years supporting Kubernetes and containerized environments
• Strong Python, Bash, or Shell scripting experience
• Linux/Unix administration experience
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of AWS networking, security, and cloud architecture

Preferred

• AWS Certification
• Experience automating compliance integrations within CI/CD pipelines

Work Environment

• 100% onsite in Downtown Houston
• Occasional travel to the West Houston office may be requested
