About the job
About FILTR
FILTR is an AI-powered research platform for people who create. We’re building a human-curated library of references across fashion, music, film, advertising, design, technology, media, culture, and ideas—then using AI to make that research easier to discover, connect, and use.
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organized, creative, and resourceful Founder & Marketing Assistant Intern to work directly with FILTR’s founder.
This is a cross-functional role for someone interested in seeing what it actually looks like to build an early-stage company. You’ll support the founder across research, communications, organization, social media, and special projects while helping build the public presence of both FILTR and its founder.
No two weeks will look exactly the same. The right person will be comfortable moving between structured responsibilities and new projects as the company evolves.
What You’ll Do
- Help develop and maintain FILTR’s social media presence across relevant platforms.
- Support the founder’s professional social media presence and personal brand.
- Research content ideas, industry conversations, trends, and opportunities relevant to FILTR and the founder.
- Help turn company milestones, founder insights, research, and behind-the-scenes work into thoughtful social content.
- Draft and organize social media posts and maintain a content calendar.
- Research conferences, events, speaking opportunities, startup programs, competitions, grants, potential investors, and other strategic opportunities relevant to FILTR.
- Prepare concise research briefs that help the founder make decisions quickly.
- Assist with scheduling, organization, follow-ups, documents, and other administrative needs.
- Help keep priorities, deadlines, and ongoing projects organized.
- Support special projects across the company as needs arise.
What We’re Looking For
You might be a great fit if you’re the person who naturally keeps things moving.
You’re organized enough to manage details but curious enough to understand the bigger picture. You know your way around social media, have strong written communication skills, conduct research independently, and can take a loosely defined assignment and figure out how to move it forward.
We’re especially interested in students studying marketing, communications, business, entrepreneurship, public relations, media, management, or related fields.
Strong candidates will be proactive, dependable, resourceful, comfortable working independently, and interested in learning how founders build companies from the inside.
Familiarity with social media platforms, Canva, Google Workspace, AI tools, content planning, or project-management tools is helpful but not required.
What You’ll Learn
You’ll work directly with FILTR’s founder and gain firsthand exposure to the decisions, priorities, and challenges involved in building an early-stage technology company.
You’ll gain experience across founder operations, startup strategy, communications, social media, research, brand building, and company development while learning how these functions intersect as a startup grows.
Because this role works across the company, you’ll also see how FILTR’s curation, AI/database, and growth functions work together—and how the founder makes decisions across them.
