About YOYOS

YOYOS creates award-winning documentaries, branded podcasts, and storytelling campaigns for brands and organisations. Through podcasts, we connect industry leaders, innovators, and decision-makers to explore the ideas shaping the future of their industries.

The Role

We're looking for a Junior Podcast Producer to help launch and run a new B2B AI-focused podcast that will be shared with a huge audience. This role is perfect for someone with 1-2 years of experience, or someone about to graduate in the next 2-6 months, who is a genuine AI enthusiast with real interest in AI and emerging technology. Someone who is social savvy, understands algorithms with a love of creating content, and has a lovable, outgoing personality that makes people want to work with them. This role is ideal for someone who loves meeting interesting people and building relationships with industry leaders.

This podcast is AI-focused, and we're looking for someone who is genuinely curious about the space beyond mainstream, consumer-level coverage, someone who follows AI news as a habit, tracks new model releases across different regions and labs (not just the usual U.S. players), pays attention to emerging use cases, and knows who the up-and-coming companies and researchers are. That context will help you spot strong guests and topics, ask sharper questions in production meetings, and keep the show ahead of the conversation rather than behind it. While you do not need to be an expert on day one, you should be genuinely interested in technology and willing to learn quickly about the topics shaping the industry.
You should be someone who can build and maintain great relationships with clients, contractors, and the internal team, who is a strong team player and can follow established processes, and who is ready to take complete end-to-end ownership of successfully launching a podcast that reaches a large audience.

Bonus: If you have editing skills( Adobe Premiere Pro/ DaVinci Resolve/ Descript) and can create smooth transitions and clean up audio, let us know. We'd love to combine the producer and editor role into one position, with compensation adjusted accordingly.

Location & Availability: Ability to join client calls between 8am-4pm ET.

What You'll Do

You'll be involved in every step of getting an episode made, from the first project kickoff conversation to the final published post. Here's what that looks like in practice:

  • Planning each episode: Talk with the client to understand what each episode topic should be , ask questions early and help them think it through if they need it.
  • Maintain the schedule prepared and flag anything early that might cause a delay.
  • Finding and booking guests: Sometimes the client already has someone in mind, you'll help them land on a name. Other times you'll do the research yourself and bring a shortlist of strong options.
  • Once the topics and guests are approved by the client, work with the PM for guest outreach out, onboard and brief them.
  • Getting ready to record: Put together a prep document for the guest and the host, this includes the questions, the flow of the conversation, and anything sensitive to be aware of.
  • Tech Rehearsal: Make sure the tech is dialed in (camera, mic, lighting, internet) before hitting record, and hop on early on recording days to double-check everything works.
  • During the recording: Be the point person if anything technical comes up. If it's a live session, help keep things on track, energy, pacing, making sure the conversation stays interesting, and jot down timestamps for anything that stands out.
  • After recording, pull out the best moments and pass clear notes to the editor. Once the edit comes back, review it for quality and flow, gather feedback from the client, and make sure everything's polished before it goes live.
  • Publishing and promoting: Write the episode title and description, double-check the show notes and thumbnail, and make sure everything looks right before it's posted. Then work on the social clips, you'll want a good sense of what actually performs well on social so the cuts you pick have a real shot at getting traction.
  • Set benchmarks and monitor how episodes are performing and bring ideas for what could work better next time.
  • Help the PM keep the project on budget.

Who You Are

  • 1 Year of experience, or graduating within the next 2-6 months
  • A genuine tech enthusiast with real, ongoing interest in AI and new technology, someone who follows AI news, new model releases across regions and labs, emerging use cases, and up-and-coming companies as a habit.
  • Social savvy, with a real interest in creating content and an understanding of what works on social media algorithms to generate strong social cuts
  • A fun, outgoing personality, someone who builds and maintains great relationships with clients, contractors, and the team
  • A strong team player who can follow established processes closely and consistently
  • Ready to take complete, end-to-end ownership of successfully launching a podcast that will reach a huge audience
  • Comfortable managing multiple moving pieces and deadlines

Success Looks Like

The primary goal of this engagement is to successfully launch and run a new AI-focused podcast that resonates with a large audience.
Success in this role means:

  • Creating a seamless production experience for the client, hosts, and guests
  • Managing scheduling, communication, and episode workflows with minimal oversight
  • Maintaining a high-quality guest experience from outreach through publication
  • Bringing fresh, well-informed guest and topic ideas grounded in genuine, current AI knowledge
  • Producing strong social content and clips that reflect a real understanding of social media performance
  • Delivering high-quality work efficiently and meeting deadlines consistently
  • Building trusted relationships with the client, contractors, and internal team

*This role begins as a contract engagement. If the client sees strong execution, audience growth, and operational improvements, there is significant potential for the role to evolve into a longer-term partnership beyond the initial contract period.
*

If you're excited about AI, meaningful conversations, smart people, and building a podcast that industry leaders genuinely want to be part of, we'd love to hear from you.
