About ACT
ACT (www.aacctt.org) is building a consumer-driven platform designed to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable economy. Our mission is to empower consumers to make informed purchasing decisions and tackle supply-side inefficiencies by providing transparent information about the environmental impact of products and producers.

Crucially, our knowledge-creation platform will enable large-scale collaboration across value chains. Our value-driver is a highly inter-connected B2B2C platform where suppliers pay for a transaction fee on ACT sales and access anonymized data in return. We’re seeking to leverage this tool within the 11T EUR grocery sector, before rolling out to a wider opportunity base within a global consumer spending sector accounting for 60% of global GDP.

We are engineering our platform to supercharge scaling through early adopters —‘platform builders’ and ‘green shoppers’ who want to be empowered to make value-driven purchases using our relative rating system.

ACT believes that collective consumer purchasing power can become one of the most effective forces for encouraging sustainable business practices. By helping consumers identify and support environmentally responsible producers, ACT aims to create market incentives that reward sustainability, transparency and drive meaningful change.

Our first prototype is currently preparing to launch and we are seeking an Investing Chief Business Officer to join the leadership team at this pivotal stage.

The Opportunity
This is not a conventional executive hire. We are looking for an entrepreneurial business leader who wants to help build a high-impact venture from the ground up and participate as a significant equity partner.

The successful candidate will join before prototype launch and will play a central role in shaping strategy, commercial partnerships, fundraising, market positioning, and organizational growth.

As a founding executive, the Chief Business Officer will also be expected to make a meaningful financial investment in the company, reflecting a shared commitment to the long-term success of the business.

Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy
● Develop and execute the company's go-to-market strategy.
● Identify and validate revenue models and market opportunities.
● Build the business plan and growth roadmap.

Partnerships & Business Development
● Establish relationships with retailers, manufacturers, sustainability organizations, and strategic partners.
● Negotiate partnership agreements and commercial arrangements.
● Develop channels for user acquisition and market adoption.

Fundraising & Investor Relations
● Support preparation of fundraising materials and investor communications.
● Participate in investor outreach and fundraising activities.
● Help shape financing strategy as the company scales.

Leadership
● Work closely with the founders to define company strategy and priorities.
● Help recruit future members of the executive and operational teams.
● Contribute to governance, reporting, and organizational development.

Market Development
● Lead customer discovery and market validation activities.
● Develop ACT's positioning, messaging, and commercial proposition.
● Build relationships with early adopters and key stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
● Experience in senior commercial, business development, strategy, startup leadership, or entrepreneurial roles.
● A track record of building partnerships and driving business growth.
● Experience with fundraising, investment, venture building, or scaling early-stage businesses.
● Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
● Passion for sustainability, climate innovation, impact investing, or consumer technology.
● The ambition and resilience required to help build a company from the pre-launch stage.

Investment Requirement
Candidates should be willing and able to make a substantial personal investment in ACT as part of joining the leadership team. The investment amount and resulting equity participation will be discussed individually with shortlisted candidates.
In recognition of this commitment, the successful candidate will receive a significant equity stake and will participate directly in the value creation of the business.
This opportunity is best suited to experienced executives, entrepreneurs, investors, or operators who are seeking a meaningful ownership position in an early-stage venture with ambitious sustainability goals.
