About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused " Airline Ticketing Agent" to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for handling domestic and international flight bookings, ticket issuance, reissuance, cancellations, refunds, and customer queries.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo and a strong understanding of airline fares, ticketing rules, and reservation procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Handle domestic and international flight reservations and ticketing.
Create, modify, and manage PNRs using GDS systems.
Issue, reissue, revalidate, and cancel airline tickets.
Process ticket refunds as per airline fare rules and policies.
Check and communicate fare rules, baggage allowances, cancellation charges, and change penalties.
Provide suitable flight options based on customer requirements and budget.
Handle schedule changes, cancellations, missed connections, and other travel-related issues.
Coordinate with airlines, suppliers, and internal teams for ticketing-related queries.
Maintain accurate booking and ticketing records.
Ensure all passenger and travel details are entered accurately.
Respond to customer queries through calls, emails, and other communication channels.
Stay updated on airline policies, fares, routes, and travel regulations.
Required Skills
Hands-on experience with Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, or other GDS platforms.
Strong knowledge of airline ticketing and reservation procedures.
Understanding of fare rules, refunds, reissues, and cancellations.
Knowledge of domestic and international airlines and routes.
Good knowledge of airport and airline codes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent bookings.
Basic computer and MS Office/Google Workspace skills.
Qualifications
Graduate/Diploma in Travel & Tourism, Aviation, Hospitality, or a related field.
IATA certification or relevant airline ticketing certification is preferred.
1–3 years of experience in airline ticketing, travel agency, OTA, or corporate travel.
Preferred Candidate
The ideal candidate should be someone who has practical GDS experience and can independently handle the complete ticketing process, including booking, ticket issuance, reissue, cancellation, and refunds.
