Overview
We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with 9+ years of experience in test automation for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Selenium, Playwright, API automation, CI/CD, and messaging technologies. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks while ensuring software quality across development and production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test strategies, test cases, and frameworks.
- Build and execute UI, API, integration, performance, and regression tests.
- Automate test execution through CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform code reviews and collaborate with developers to improve test automation.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and manage defects.
- Support software releases and production deployments.
- Contribute to QA best practices, coding standards, and automation frameworks.
- Perform exploratory testing and validate production fixes.
Required Skills
- 9+ years of QA Automation experience.
- 5+ years of Java development.
- Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber/Gherkin.
- API automation using RestAssured, Spring Boot, GraphQL, or Postman.
- Messaging technologies: Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ (JMS).
- SQL, Git, Jenkins/CI-CD, JIRA, Splunk.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and service-oriented/microservices architecture.
Preferred Skills
- Kubernetes, Couchbase, SQL Server.
- POS, payment gateway/terminal, or high-volume eCommerce experience.
