About NEX2

NEX2 is a new social discovery platform being built around one idea: the people you should know may already be around you.

Instead of endless scrolling, swiping, and traditional profiles, NEX2 uses real-time proximity and shared interests to help people discover and connect with others nearby.

We’re currently building the product and looking for an App Development Intern who wants hands-on experience helping develop a startup from the ground up.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll work directly with the NEX2 team on the development and improvement of the app, including:

Building and improving mobile/web app features
Working on our real-time discovery and radar experience
Developing user profiles, interests, matching and chat functionality
Helping improve UI/UX and overall app performance
Testing features and identifying bugs
Working with APIs, databases and backend functionality
Turning new product ideas into working features
Using AI development tools to prototype and ship faster
Participating in product discussions and helping shape future versions of NEX2

Who We’re Looking For

You do not need years of professional experience. We care more about whether you can build, learn quickly and figure things out.

Ideal candidates may have experience with some combination of:

JavaScript / TypeScript
React / React Native
Flutter
Node.js
Firebase / Supabase
APIs
Databases
Mobile app development
Git / GitHub
AI-assisted development tools
No-code / low-code platforms

Students, recent graduates and self-taught developers are encouraged to apply.
