Senior MuleSoft Developer

MuleSoft Developer (IRS Program) | U.S. Citizenship & Public Trust Clearance Required

We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Developer to support a federal IRS program. This position will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing enterprise integration solutions and API-led connectivity using the MuleSoft platform.

🚨 Required for Consideration:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Background Investigation (BGC)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise services using MuleSoft, RAML, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, and Mule connectors.
• Build and support API-led architectures across System, Process, and Experience layers.
• Configure and manage APIs, proxy endpoints, developer portals, analytics, auto-discovery, and security policies using MuleSoft API Manager.
• Develop integrations leveraging DataWeave 2.0, JSON, XML, HTTP/S, MQ, and SOA-based technologies.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications in MuleSoft CloudHub.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment and support CI/CD best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft CloudHub and API Management.
• Strong experience with RAML, REST/SOAP APIs, DataWeave 2.0, JSON, XML, and MuleSoft integration patterns.
• Experience with MuleSoft connectors including Salesforce, Database, HTTP/S, FTP, and Object Store.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, or C# (Groovy is a plus).
• Experience with Maven, Jenkins, BitBucket, Git, MUnit testing, CloudHub deployment, and monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications

• MuleSoft Certification.
• Salesforce platform experience.
• Prior federal government experience.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $64,974 to $139,880. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
